Priceless gift of new life in Christ!

And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:19-25 There seemed to be a growing attitude in the culture nowadays that shows a lack of sense of wonder and reverence toward God. Admonition from God’s word to live godly lives is no longer the ideal that used to be a part of the norm in the society. There is a movement to bring down God to the level and to be looked upon as equals to humanity. In this manner, obedience to God is no longer a priority even among the life of those who call themselves Christians. The author of the book of Hebrews reminded Christians to not forget that it was through the blood of Christ that secured their salvation. In humanities’ desire to come to God’s throne of grace, God through the shed blood of Christ on the cross paved the way so that those who trust Him as Lord and Savior can now have an unhindered access to Him. Those who placed their faith in God should not take for granted what Christ had accomplished on their behalf. Christ did this so He could show how much God wanted to have a relationship. He came so He could show an example on how to live a life of holiness, the life that God demands to those that placed their trust in Him. As a child of God, always meditate on the price Christ paid to obtain and secure your place in the Kingdom of God. Treasure your relationship with Him by expressing this in your time with Him in His word and in your prayers. Worship and service should be an expression of gratitude because you are grateful that you belong to His family. Do not let the sense of awe and wonder get lost in your walk with Him instead be a constant reminder of the privilege you have to live for His glory. Be an encouragement to others who have lost their sense of awe and look for opportunities to create a hunger for God as you fellowship with other believers. “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near” (Hebrews 10:25). “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! (2 Cor. 9:15).

Blessings,
