His riches and glory in and through you

God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you. This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. Colossians 1:25-28

It was the Father’s plan at the beginning to have His Son, Jesus, Christ rule in the lives of every believer. If you claim you are a Christian because you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, Christ’s life becomes your life. “He has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9). When Christ lives in you, He equips you with every resource at His disposal. The apostle Paul prayed that every follower of Christ will understand how to live the new life that God gave them and be able to appropriate the resources He provided them. “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). Every time you face a need, God is with you to help you meet that need. When He invites you to minister to others in His name, His presence is with you so you could magnify and glorify Him. When you surrender your life to Christ, it means that you are giving Him complete access to your life. The apostle Paul expressed from the text that God wants to use you so that you can represent Him to others. Since God is “holy and righteous in all His works” (Psalm 145:17), it should be of no surprise to you that His goal is that you will have a life pleasing before Him. The greatest challenge every child of God has is to live out God’s righteousness in their lives. He wants you to help others see the “riches and glory of Christ.” When you face a crisis in life, God’s desire is that you will respond knowing that you are not alone. His presence in you should make a difference in the way you deal with trials in life. It is not just by having the desire to live the life of Christ but your determination should focus on allowing His life to work in and through you. When you are a believer in Christ, your destiny is sure. While here on this earth, as a child of God, your responsibility is clear. Even if at times, you feel that your effort to be a blessing to others seemed to be ignored and useless, realized that you are living His life for His glory. When Isaiah committed His life to be living it for His glory, God gave Him assurance that everything he does will not go unnoticed by God. “You will bring me glory.” I replied, “But my work seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose. Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward” (Isaiah 49:3-4).

Blessings.
