Praise God for He is faithful

The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. All of your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you. They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your power. They will tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign. For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. Psalm 145:9-13

The Psalmist’s praise of the divine deeds begins with reference to the LORD’s activity (vv. 4–7). “Your works”, “your mighty acts”, “the glorious splendor of your majesty”, “your wondrous works”, and “your awesome deeds;” these are all general descriptions to affirm what was central to our faith. God’s deeds throughout history and as reflected upon His working in creation, all of these acts deserves our praise for Him. When we start to recall all His good deeds, it provides us an occasion to sing aloud praises for He is worthy. The LORD’s compassion shall evoke thanks (v. 10). We should not be silent in acknowledging God’s faithfulness. We have a message that should reach out to all lands as all the works of God testify to His greatness. Once you recognize His rule and authority over everything including your life, such rule should be manifested in the way you acknowledge Him. We are called upon to be a blessing to others and as such our message is about a glorious kingdom and the rule of the LORD forever (vv. 11–13). Having joy is not so much a reward as it is the experience of being connected to the true source of life—God. In this world where credibility is becoming rare, we need something that will help us be assured that there is still Someone who keeps His Word. Our future rests upon God’s faithfulness. God is always dependable, while we may not be at times for we are not perfect. Paul always looks upon God’s faithfulness. “God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9). When we face setbacks, God is faithful. When we face guilt, God is faithful. When the bank account goes, God is faithful. When a loved one dies, God is faithful. When we know we have been faithless, God is faithful. The One who is faithful promised He would return, He will keep His word for He is faithful. In fact, He's never broken one promise. There's no credibility gap with Him and we know that He will always be true to His promises.

Blessings,
