God’s remedy in times of difficulties

But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom; I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. Isaiah 43:1-4 NLT

From the text, Isaiah transitioned from humanity’s problem to God providing a remedy. It is by the grace of God that our problem will be solved. Though we go through difficult times, His admonition is to “not be afraid.” When we go through “deep waters,” “rivers of difficulty,” and “fire of oppression” we will not be overcome for He will be with us. We have to realize who we belong to. We need to be sure if we are of God. “I have called you by name; you are mine.” Whatever life throws at us, the love of God will be experienced for He will walk with us. God arranges the events in our lives for our good. He cares for us we are precious and is loved by Him (Isaiah 43:4). It is all about God and His dealings with us. His grace is so great that we are left without words. He fills us with inexpressible joy. He will go with us in times of afflictions. God proved He loves us through the cross of Christ. “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:8). No matter what the difficulties we are in, God will not forsake us. God will be with His children and will see to it that there will be deliverance.

Blessings,
