Facing the future
In the west, people will respect the name of the Lord; in the east, they will glorify him. For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the Lord. “The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem buy back those in Israel who have turned from their sins,” says the Lord. “And this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the Lord, have spoken! Isaiah 59:19-21 NLT
If we are enjoying our life in Christ just for the present time and will be of no value in the future, then what is the use of believing and proclaiming the gospel? If there is a fear that God might be defeated in the future, how can the gospel be the good news? God is committed in fulfilling His purposes for the future. His grace will triumph permanently and universally. All the races and cultures of this world have a place of honor in God’s plan. God through the Lord Jesus Christ promised that all the nations of the earth will be blessed. This is why the message of salvation has to go out. Christianity does not exist because of our personal preference. it has the power to transform lives and to let the light of God illuminate everything around. The gospel provides the assurance that everything will be great when Christ brings God’s kingdom into a physical realization. If we are able to see through the eyes of God the future, then we can remain strong and steadfast in the face of trials in the present times. We created a mess because we sinned. But God will not be defeated and because of His love, He guarantees our future. God gave us the Spirit and His Word for He knew we need both. It is by the Spirit and His word that this world will be renewed.
Blessings,
