The God who calls you is faithful

Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil. Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. 1 Thessalonians 5:19-24 God is faithful and He will keep His promise to help us fulfill His will for our lives. So when God calls you to follow Him, His promise is to help you and enable you. There are times that you find yourself not willing to do what He has called you to do. Yet, the Scripture tells that even in our unfaithfulness, God remains faithful. “I have said what I would do, and I will do it. (Isaiah 46:11). God led the Israelites through Moses to be freed from Egyptian bondage. But when they reached the Red Sea, they thought that God led them to be captured again. They reached the sea and it was preventing them to advance. Right behind them is the brutal Egyptian army just ready to overtake them. But just like what God promised to them, He led them through Moses to cross the Red Sea. You are right now excited about what God is doing in your life. You are obeying Him and yet, you come to a place where you could not advance. You are praying for your family that you will have an opportunity to be a witness to them; you are asking God about what you should do in your job, or a ministry that you want to take part in your church. You want to be faithful and obey Him, but now the things you thought God wanted to accomplish are not happening. Maybe, your children are not responding instead they are rebelling; those at your workplace are critical about your actions lately, or your ministry has not been well received. Trust in the character of God and just remain faithful to do what He has called you to do. God is faithful. David provided the testimony of the people throughout the ages that has proven God’s faithfulness. “Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. (Psalm 37:25). No matter how difficult your circumstances are right now, do not give up. God will always come through to His promise and show His faithfulness to you. And just like David and others that experienced God’s faithfulness whose testimonies were written in His word, you will look back as you reflect on what God has done and praise Him for His faithfulness to you.

Blessings.
