God is always with you
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! Psalm 139:16-18
From the text, the Psalmist expressed his gratefulness to God’s commitment to His people. The text provided an answer to man’s deepest longing. Humanity is in constant search for a perfect love, yet human love would always fall short. It is only the Creator could provide a love that never changes. His love for you is not subjected to emotions that frequently changes. It does not grow tired and weary. This is why God is described as a “Refuge” that you can always run to when times are difficult (see Psalm 62:8). He is your “Strength” even when everything around you seems to be crumbling (see Psalm 18:1). He is your “Shield” when you need a place that you could feel safe and secured (see Psalm 18:3). Have you ever thought the implication of what it meant to be loved by the Almighty God? To know that you are loved by the loving Father provides you meaning and significance. He is the One who created you and He knows you more than you know yourself. He knows your shortcomings and your weaknesses. Despite all these, His love for you is unconditional. He is not asking you to earn His love for you because He chose to love you. You could respond by placing your faith and your trust in His love. “It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). As you think daily of His constant presence with you, respond by thanking Him. “I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!” (Psalm 145:2-3). As you ponder upon His love for you, remind yourself why He created you. “Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them” (Isaiah 43:7). As you live your life each day, always look for an opportunity to tell others of the reason why you have faith in Him. All the more you proclaim Him to others, the more you experience His presence. “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations...Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20). No matter what challenges you will be facing this day, always remember that there is someone looking after you and is thinking of you. You are the apple of His eye (Psalm 17:8).
Blessings.
