He cares for you

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:14-16

It is a fact of life that as long as you are here in this world, you will be dealing with problems. This was the result of being here in this fallen world. But there will be a time that God will end this kind of experience and bring those that belong to His Kingdom into an eternity of perfection. When things are not working well in accordance to what you perceived of what life should look like, you label those things that are out of sync as problems. Then you become anxious about your problems, analyze the reasons what brought them to your life, then you try to solve the problems using the resources you have at your disposal. From the text, the author of Hebrews urged Christians to bring their problems and worries to the throne of God’s grace. The Lord Jesus Christ came in this world and put on the human flesh to show you that He knows and understands what you are going through when you are facing challenges in life. He showed what a difference it makes when you do not let your problems overcome you but instead trust the One who cares, the One who went through what you are going through yet did not sin. He wants you to cast all your anxieties to Him. “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you” (1 Peter 5:7). He calls you to exercise your faith and entrust to Him your problems. What God urges you to do seemed to be difficult because you do not see the One to whom you are called upon to cast all your cares. But come to think of it how often do you entrust someone of the basic things of life; for example, your need of food and water. How often do you think if you are ingesting food or water that were prepared by a person or persons that you did not know of and have you placed too much thought as to how they prepared what you are taking in for the sustenance of your physical body? How about the money that you entrust the bank that provides you a piece of paper that tells you that your money is taken care of and that you can take them out when you need them? You just place your trust to the system and the people behind them and that relieves your worries. If you are so quick to trust people who are fallible just like you are, why can’t you trust the God that cares and loves you so much? Your difficulty trusting God with all your cares might be coming from a faulty understanding of God’s character. Meditate on God’s word and let the truth of His word speak to you especially those that relate to His unchanging love for you. Begin your day by learning how to trust God with all your cares and have the assurance that you can leave everything in His throne of grace.

Blessings.
