Building up an unwavering faith

Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your strength comes from God’s grace. Hebrews 13:5-8

God intends to build strong relationship to those that placed their trust in Him alone for salvation. His goal is to build an intimate and permanent relationship with us. This is why He made a promise, ““I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” No matter what we are going through in life, God is with us. When times of difficulties come, we tend to be discourage and have fragmented minds that lead us to think that we are alone in our struggles. God does not want us to get disheartened instead realize that He “is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” His admonition is not to trust the material things of this world but place our unwavering faith to Him alone. No matter what uncertainties lie ahead be assured that “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear.” What He promised in the past are true even to this time and will always be true even in the days to come. He will always be present providing our needs and accomplishing His purpose in every situation of our lives. We will always have a friend in Jesus. “A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need” (Proverbs 17:17). God has proven the sincerity of His love when He gave Himself up to die on the cross for the forgiveness of our sin. “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13). Do not let your emotions when going through difficult times to tempt you into thinking that God is wavering. Through His word, the testimony of the Holy Spirit within and our experiences in the past provide for us proofs that God does not change. He is consistent with His promises and will always be faithful. See for yourself how true God is and do not allow your faith to waver. Build a strong faith founded upon His word that will sustain you even in the most difficult time. Jesus is the same forever!

Blessings,
